King Gesar Wish-Fulfilling Horse Whip from Yachen Gar

King Gesar’s wish-fulfilling horse whip, also known as King Gesar’s wish-granting scepter, was an extremely precious treasure presented to King Gesar by Yellow Dzambhala. By holding this powerful magical weapon, King Gesar successfully accomplished all the great causes of benefiting sentient beings.

This horse whip was made strictly according to the instructions of Ju Mipham Rinpoche. The top is crowned with a wish-fulfilling jewel, and the bottom features a half five-spoked vajra. It has been consecrated with sacred objects related to King Gesar, including his mantra wheel, protection chakras, Lha stones, and the wish-fulfilling horse whip mandala from the omniscient Mipham Rinpoche, Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche, and Akhyuk Rinpoche. It also contains a mantra roll of the Three Roots and various rare and precious Tibetan medicinal herbs, proportioned according to instructions.

This horse whip was consecrated following the ritual sadhana by Mipham Rinpoche. Monks from Yachen Gar selected an auspicious day and conducted a ten-day consecration puja to bless the horse whip.

According to Mipham Rinpoche’s teachings on this horse whip, “As long as anyone possesses this wish-fulfilling scepter, no matter where they travel, if they carry it with them at all times, they will receive the blessings of the Buddhas and their sons. The benefits of carrying Gesar’s whip are, generally, that it will protect you from all obstacles, make everything auspicious, and fulfill all your wishes. More specifically, it will eliminate all attempts to harm you, and you will accomplish everything you set out to do.”

Yachen Gar, also known as Yachen Orgyen Samten Choling, was founded by Akhyuk Rinpoche in 1980. It is home to over 10,000 Sangha members, making it one of the largest gatherings of nuns and monks in the world.
