This protector offering cup set, Serkyem, is made with pure copper in the style of Indian copper craftsmanship and design. A Serkyem offering, also known as a Dharmapala offering, is used for ritual offerings to Protector deities and guardians. The Serkyem consists of two pieces: a chalice and a basin for overflowing. It is most commonly filled with tea, wine, and other tsok substances, and offered to dharma protectors for the continuous protection and spread of dharma teachings. In Tibetan, "ser" means gold and "kyem" means drink.
